We have some exciting news for you! Central Alberta Co-op is pleased to announce that your Board of Directors has approved management’s recommendation for the construction of a new C-Store/Gas Bar in Spruce View!

This project will include the construction of a new 2000 sq. ft C-Store, the replacement of the canopy and upgraded pumps that will offer pay at the pump services should you be interested in this feature. You will find an expanded offering of in-store confectionery items, including Co-operative Coffee and Soft Ice Cream. Once completed, rather than operating 3-lanes with 4-pumps this location will offer 4-lanes with 4-pumps, an additional 2 pumping locations for your convenience. This will certainly make those Fridays of a long weekend flow better!

Construction on the store is planned to start this summer, pending tenders coming in on budget. It is our hopes to plan this rebuild while keeping the existing C-Store/Gas Bar and pumps operational during construction through the September long weekend. At that time we plan to temporarily switch to pump service from our cardlock through the new store as demolition of the old store and the rebuild of the canopy and pumps takes place.

Just think, you will be able to have more than 2 people getting coffee at the same time and you won’t find the Manager in the furnace room doing paperwork!
